Drainable Two-Piece Pouches are reusable ostomy bags with a separate adhesive base plate or flange. Unlike closed pouches that must be discarded once full, a drainable pouch can be reused after emptying its contents through an opening at the bottom of the bag. This means that the pouch won’t need to be changed frequently. The two-piece design of the bag means that users can adhere the flange first and get the best fit possible before attaching the pouch.
